Coach Nikki & Coach Anthony finally catch up with a pod! We're baaaaacckkk!!!!
In this episode, the coaches talk about their spring seasons a bit and highlight the issues with guest playing and dual rostering for tournaments. We don't have a good system people!  Are we doing it for the development of our kids or trophies? Listen in for a good catch up sesh!

Season 3, Episode 5: Coaching Hard with Coach Anthony & Coach Nikki

In this episode, Anthony & Nikki discuss the topic of coaching hard. The example they use is from the viral clip of Coach Brenda Frese coaching her University of Maryland basketball player in the NCAA tournament this season. The coaches break down that moment and apply it to everyday coaching on different levels of sports. Listen in as the coaches discuss this and life lately!

Season 3: Episode 4 Catching Up with Anthony & Nikki on life lately, Olympics things, & Overcoaching

In this episode, Anthony & Nikki catch up on life since the last pod. We discuss the coaching of the World Baseball Classic and adding Baseball/Softball/Lacrosse to the Olympics and how coaches don't get medals in the Olympics. We also discuss the impact of overcoaching an athlete and some tips for handling that space a little better. Lots of good thoughts in this one!

Season 3: Episode 3: Catching Up with Baltimore Raven's Nick Moore: Overcoming Adversity & Chasing Dreams

In this episode, we catch up with the Baltimore Ravens' long snapper, Nick Moore. Drafted into the Red Sox organization right out of high school as an infielder, Nick never dreamed he would one day become the highest-paid long snapper in the NFL. 
Listen in as Nick talks about his journey from professional baseball to professional football, the differences in the two coaching styles, the strength of his village, and the mentality it takes to play at the highest level.
Nick's story is filled with twists and turns, but what never changes is his belief in himself in the face of adversity. We could talk to Nick all day! We hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!

Season 3: Episode 2: Catching up with Coach Josh Clemmer on Males Coaching Females

In this episode, we catch up with Coach Josh Clemmer. Josh is currently Celia's soccer coach for the North Chesapeake Football Club in Bel Air, MD. He speaks with us about his journey coaching this team from an elementary and middle school perspective while also sharing insight from his time coaching at Bel Air High School and leading that program to it's one and only State Championship. Yes, this episode is about coaching females but the theme within tends to be focusing on coaching the person you have in front of you. We are excited for you to listen to this one & get your thoughts!

Season 2: Episode 19: Catching Up with Anthony & Nikki on life & how tournaments are running their reffing/umping crews

In this episode of Coaching Up, Anthony & Nikki catch up on life happenings as we transition from fall to winter. Anthony is calling the basketball games at Calvert Hall this winter, announcing the pep rally as well, all while coming back from battling the flu. Nikki talks about Nolan's switch to indoor track this winter and Celia's soccer team winning the Fallston Cup. We'll talk about that and how the soccer tournaments handled the refereeing assignments this weekend as well.

Season 2: Episode 18: Case Study Trophies

In this episode, Anthony & Nikki break down a case study involving a basketball team that was declared the championship winner but later realized the score was wrong and they actually lost. The coach decided to give the trophy back. Would you? We talk about this as well as the infamous WAGS soccer tournament. How many teams are in the divisions. How much money is being made. As loving as Coach Anthony was in the last episode around the soccer community, he circles back to his distain of the sport of soccer and all the trophies/trophy hunters involved. ES20 Evan Snyder's Story: Community in Tragedy

In this episode, we are honored to have Amanda & Derrick Snyder as our guests to speak about the loss of their son Evan Snyder. Evan was a sophomore in high school when he passed away in June of 2023. Listen in as Amanda & Derrick discuss the impact of the sports community in their journey of grief.
 
Grief is such a unique experience, and one that Amanda tells us is completely different from person to person. This episode highlights their family's experience with the hopes that we can learn from and be better because of it. Holding space for each other and extending grace. A community who shows up.
